It’s not clear to patrons how the option to save their Checkout History works. People often think turning this on will give them access to all their past checkouts, so we need text explaining that the system only displays checkouts that happen after the option is turned on.
They also need to understand and be warned that unchecking this option will not only stop adding new checkouts, it will completely clear their checkout history and there’s no way to recover it.

Also, if patrons who have not already turned on the Checkout History option on the Search and History Preferences tab go directly to the Checkout History page, they get a message that tells them There are no items in your circulation history, with no information and link about where they can turn this on and how it works.
