When working in the staff catalog, people often need to find and send a link to a particular record either to another staff member or to a patron. The staff catalog link can generally be copied from the location bar and trimmed to remove extraneous search and view information, but this is not always clear to newer staff, especially since library staff are often working with databases and other services that use session-based URLs that are not permalinks. It’s possible to edit a staff catalog link into a public catalog to send to a patron or post add to a social media post, website booklist, etc., but it’s confusing and easy to make a mistake.

We would like to see clearly-labelled and easy to copy staff catalog and public catalog permalinks to the bib record page. I don’t know if these are planned for the Summary tab https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1959010 (looking forward to that one!) but it might be a good idea to have these in the top part of the screen, easy to find from any tab.
